canola field in May
This is a pastel of the Canola field. There was so much yellow so it might of been easy to get carried away. I tired to put a wash underneath.

sketching and piece in canola fields
Well I was so comfy sitting in my chair in the field I worked on some sketches and a piece. It still needs work.
Canola fields banks
I went to the Canola fields which were introduced to me by Bev Drew Kindly. I went there for a few days because the color was so attractive. But today was really good weather.

Blue Lake cherry blossom trees, portland Oregon
I was in heaven when these trees were in bloom. There were so many of them and it was so beautiful. I did some sketches and took photos because the flowers don't last long. This picture is a pastel I did and tried to capture the color.

Mike Orwick at Amato's Gallery
Michael Orwick was there with his daughter as Gretha and Chris worked on their art. Michael had some of his beautiful art on the walls as well. I like the new dragon Michael.

winter trees
We had a few sunny days so i went to the fields and looked at some winter trees. No leaves so the color was different than in the summer. i tend to put too much color anyway so this was a good thing for me to practice.

Went sketching in the warm weather. It was nice to have the sun. Looking at Wolf Kahn gives me hope for leafless trees.

sketching
I was discouraged today and so I just decided to go out in the sun and scribble in my sketch book. I sat in the field and just relaxed and sketched. it was nice to do that in the winter.

more autumn grasslands
I like this marshy grassland area. I like the combination of the water and the grasses. I can see myself doing too many of these.
